“Project Shakti-Self Defense workshop in Palampur”

We, the Institute of Computer and Finance Executives (ICFe), the leading provider of training for financial sector, will also be bringing our CSR initiative ‘Project Shakti - Women Empowerment Program’ to Palampur. The two day program will be held atRotary Bhawan, Near Subhash Chowk, Bandla Road, Palampur on the 14th and 15th of September, 2009. More than 500 women participants from different colleges and schools are projected for the program. The two day program will help them in understanding the basics of self defence and unleash the prowess hidden within for effective repulsion of attacks.
"Project Shakti" is a campaign to awaken the degenerating society by strengthening the feminine consciousness and empowering them with the ability to defend against all forms of attacks. This is a program that is launched in association with Traditional Karate Federation of India (TKFI).
ICFe has taken this initiative for its women apprentice present in and out of ICFe institutes. ICFe is aiming to train the college going girls with the self defense techniques so that they can defend themselves from the eve teasers and reprobates. The two day Project Shakti program has unique features which empower women on body, mind & spirit. The idea is to eventually reach out to around a million girls from across the country.
